This is the shortest time to get to know the essence of the work left by the Inca Civilization to start from Cusco city once the capital of the Inca society visiting the most important Inca sites to continue along the Sacred Valley by bus where still grows the biggest corn grain in the world so you will go to Machu Picchu by train along the Urubamba river bank to get to Aguas Calientes where a bus will take you to Machu Picchu to spend about 3 hours over there so the way back is by train to Ollantaytambo, and bus back to Cusco.

Day 1 is about the Cusco city tour - The Qoricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, and the Cathedral in Plaza de Armas of Cusco city.
First at all you will be pick from the airport of Cusco town taking you to your accommodation to start the tour according your arrival time, we recommend to take a early flight service.
-This early tour could start at 9:00 am, 10:00, and 11:00 am walking to Qoricancha (the golden block), afterwards you will take a bus to visit Sacsayhuaman where you will spend 45 minutes walking by gigantic stones fitted together, and other Inca sites like the worshiping place of Qenqo, Puca Pucara fortress, and Tambomachay about water fountains.
You will have time to explore at every site.
Day 2 is about Chinchero, the Salt mines of Maras, Moray, the Sacred Valley, and Ollantaytambo.-
A very recommended tour to sight the most important Inca sites along the Sacred Valley, and all its beautiful mountains views, glaciers, farming areas, local houses so the tour guide will explain to you in English, and Spanish.
You will be pick up at 6:40 am so the bus leaves at 7:00 am from Cusco city along the very highlands of Cusco to Chinchero located at 3:800 masl where you will see gigantic stones fitted together, and a church built on a Inca temple, afterwards you will head to the Inca salt mines of Maras, which comprises over 3000 pools to extract salt since Inca time, next spot will be also to the terraces of Moray which was an Inca “farming laboratory” used to acclimatize and improve Andean crops.
You still take the bus for 1 hour to Urubamba town for lunch, after lunch another 1 hour to Ollantaytambo, which is about gigantic stones fitted together by the Sun temple, farming terraces, gigantic stone walls, etc.
This town seems to be the “Second Cusco town, a mixed of Inca stone walls, and Spanish style houses”, afterwards you will stay in Ollantaytambo town until 6:00 pm because the train leaves at 7:00 pm from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes.
The transfer will wait for you at Aguas Calientes town to take you to the hotel in Aguas Calientes.
Day 3 is about visiting Machu Picchu, and the Sunrise in the morning.-
The best option to go to Machu Picchu very early in the morning also to enjoy the Sunrise over there.
Machu Picchu tour itinerary:
The tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation at 5:00 am to take the bus to Machu Picchu at 5:30 am for 30 minutes.
Machu Picchu site is open at 6:00 am so during the tour you will pass by important sites in Machu Picchu for 3 hours accompanied by your official tour guide, afterwards you will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes where after lunch you will go to the train station which leaves at 2:55 pm taking 1hour, and 45 minutes to get to Ollantaytambo where a bus will take you back to Cusco for 2 more hours back to Cusco so you will be in Cusco city at 7:00 pm.
